Join a panel of experts for a discussion of the practice of medical aid in dying. This proven medical practice, in which a qualified terminally ill individual with a prognosis of six months or fewer to live may request medication they may choose to take to end unbearable suffering, would be authorized in New York with passage of the New York Medical Aid in Dying Act now before state lawmakers. The panel will be moderated by Compassion & Choices Sr. NY Campaign Director Corinne Carey. Panelists will include New York native Joanne Kelly, whose husband utilized Colorado’s medical aid in dying law. Joanne is in the process of writing a memoir about the experience.
